  • Huntington's Disease Association Ireland (HDAI)
    Based in Dublin, the southern association are close friends and ever helpful. We hope to develop a much closer realtionship with HDAI and possibly develop some cross-border HD initiatives in the future.
  • Scottish Huntington's Association (SHA)
    SHA are based in Paisley near Glasgow. SHA has been wonderfully helpful in every way with information sharing and, in particular, in helping us to model this website on theirs and allowing us to use their HD publications and fact sheets which we have adapted for use in N. Ireland.
  • Huntington's Disease Association (England and Wales)
    Along with HDAI and SHA, the English/Welsh Association has joined with us in a UK and Ireland Huntington's Alliance in order to pool valuable information and resources and promote awareness of HD with a united voice.
  • The Official Woody Guthrie Website
    Woody Guthrie (1912 - 1967) was a famous American folk singer and champion of the working man. He wrote hundreds of songs about all aspects of American life and is revered throughout the world for his music and his socialism. Woody had Huntington's Disease but for a considerable period of his life he and his family were unaware of this. His life story and his work is inspirational on any level and well worth reading and learning about.
  • Hereditary Disease Foundation (HDF)
    The HDF was started by Dr. Milton Wexler in 1968 when his wife was diagnosed with Huntington's disease. The Foundation uses a variety of strategies - workshops, grants, fellowships, and targeted research contracts - to solve the mysteries of genetic disease and develop new treatments and cures.
