Zélie Leech

Support worker (Belfast, Northern & South Easte

Zelie joins us with a BA (Hons) degree in Health and Social Welfare from John Moore University Liverpool and over 10 years experience in social care and support work most recently with the Alzheimers Society NI. Her role with AS as a Dementia Support Worker / TrIC (Training for Informal Caregivers) Facilitator involved providing support to people living with dementia, their carers and family. She also delivered a 6 week programme designed to inform carers of their legal rights, benefit entitlement, help with day to day living such as managing behaviours and planning for the future.

How does Zelie describe herself?

"I am a caring person, I enjoy meeting new people and travelling to new places. In my spare time I love taking my dog for long walks, socialising and reading a good book. My family are very important to me and animal welfare."

Zelie works Monday - Thursday in addition to facilitating the Belfast and Limavady Support Groups.
